Thanks for stopping by.
I have a passion for sad, unique chairs abandoned on curbs, discarded by trash cans, overlooked in antique stores, and hidden behind far uglier furniture in thrift shops. Just as caterpillars become butterflies, my chairs metamorphose from the mundane into the spectacular. You wouldn't sit on butterflies, and I don't expect you to sit on any of my chairs. If you can get comfortable on one, then I must not be finished with it.
I also collect small wooden boxes to turn into assemblage pieces (look it up), most of which poke fun at world religions and overly-inflated political figures. My interest in - and impatience with - religion is further evident in the Middle East Collection. The gloves are off. Anything goes.
My work has been shown in museums throughout America; it's featured on Etsy and Instagram and currently adds verve to tasteful homes throughout the United States and Europe. I am a student of international folk art - which I tweak whenever I find myself in an iconoclastic mood.
I currently reside in scenic Joshua Tree, California, Land of Funky Artists. The home I share with my sweetheart is our personal art palace where the Victorian decorating philosophy of never giving the eye a rest is embraced with impunity. Add one of my creations to your home - and you too can reside in your own mini art museum.
