Hoarding is an unfortunate mental health condition...but a hoarder's garage can yield great treasure. My friend who would discard nothing and part with very little reluctantly but finally allowed me to have this pair of chairs from the 1950's. They were found buried beneath 5 decomposing golf bags and boxed in by 8 cracked plastic tubs full of fat pants.; we unearthed them one day when I was trying to help him downsize the nightmare of clutter in his lovely suburban home's theoretically 2-car garage. I combined these mid-century modern classics with a gorgeous hand-embroidered/appliqued/ reverse-appliqued jacket (from Goodwill - natch) - to create this pair of simple, geometric pieces of chair folkart.
