I love nativity scenes. I buy them whenever I find them in thrift shops, whether or not they can field a whole team. This set is particularly lovely AND complete!. It's painted in subdued shades and includes all sorts of reverent animals, including the usual lowing cattle.
I came across the tiny pink wooden rocker on one of my excursions into the Land of Unwanted Stuff. Although it would be uncomfortable to actually sit in this chair due to the presence of the Holy Family, the Magi, a manger, barnyard animals and an Angel, like all of my chairs, this adorable piece was designed to enhance a room rather than provide a seat.
The cushion is made from a vintage Latin American textile - I don't know its country of origin.
