God so loved the world that He sent his only begotten son Jesus down to live among humanity, as represented by a variety of pigs and piglets.
It took me years to accumulate the collection of pigs that went into the making of this nicho. My favorite is the mama pig on the bottom suckling her babes. On the sides of the box are pink beads I found at a yard sale in Pasadena...they already had faces on them and looked vaguely Japanese, but I added pink felt ears and snouts. Some of the other pigs in the assortment came from my daughter's dollhouse accoutrements and a Goodwill board game with farm animals that served as the pieces you move. One piggie began life as an earring. The bottlecaps (thanks again to my daughter's boyfriend) have been decorated with images of cooked bacon.
This nicho is one of my favorites because of the soft blues and pinks which would look good in any child's room or nursery.
